I have yet to find an old car or truck that doesn’t turn my head. Perhaps it’s the unique headlights, or the shape of the fenders, or a vibrant paint job that catches my eye. Perhaps it’s what that body of metal represents – a time in our lives when life moved a whole lot slower. Regardless, the total package right down to the engine under the hood calls to me and begs to be photographed.
I gather much of my inspiration for my photography from architecture. Whether I am photographing an old building or a simple structure from the past, like this plantation bench, I am drawn to simplicity in design and unexpected artful touches.
